South Dakota Culture of Life

While attending U.S. Army Basic Training at Fort Leonard wood, MO he had the distinct privilege of carrying the Guide On for the troops to follow. It was also a privilege for him to ask for your vote to become the Standard Bearer for South Dakota. Among the messages during their hour of need, must be able to count on a unified voice of support from back home.

Our Nation's security is important to him and supporting our troops and this President in our war on terror will be a high priority for him, representing you in Washington.

On behalf of South Dakota he will fight for permanent tax cuts for individuals and businesses while also fighting against reckless government waste. HeI will support legislation that reforms the tax code to make it simple, fair and cost less. As a member of a tribe where the federal government is the largest employer, he can speak first hand about the damaging influences of large government, and can provide first hand testimony that large government is unattractive and rarely accountable to its citizens. Overall South Dakota Citizens tell him they want accountable and limited government. They can achieve this by creating an atmosphere where private business will flourish in place of large government.

Thanks to Governor Rounds and South Dakotas citizen legislature our state enjoys a business friendly atmosphere. South Dakota will need to secure water for our future generations and individuals and allow businesses to prosper. Ensuring that the Lewis & Clark Water Project moves forward to bring water to our expanding communities is essential.

Working for an Additional Strategic Mission for Ellsworth Air Force Base will benefit the National Strategic Defense Platform, South Dakotas economy and will also provide a home for our uniformed personnel while fulfilling those missions. It will be an honor and pleasure for him to know we have military troops standing on the wall protecting our freedom in our own back yard.

Positive Government to Government relationships between American Indians and the United States Government are constitutionally guaranteed. As a tribal member and United States Citizen he has a unique understanding of this relationship. Tribal governments in South Dakota are among the poorest in the nation. Like all Americans tribal citizens also call for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It would benefit our mutual economies to expand the area though which business dollars circulate. He will foster understanding between governments to promote prosperity.
